FAQ

When is the Dubuque Winter Farmers’ Market?
Our market is open every Saturday morning from November through April.  Please note that we open a bit later than the Summer Market!  Visit us from 9am – noon.

Where is the Winter Farmers’ Market?
We’re located in the Roshek Building at 700 Locust Street in Dubuque.

Where should I park?
FREE parking at the US Bank parking lot (6th and Locust St.); On-street, metered parking ($0.75/hour); and in the Locust Street ramp (830 Bluff St., $1/hour).

Are you open every weekend?
We are open every weekend November through April, except for the Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s (Sat. Dec. 28th, 2019).

Cash is preferred.  Some, but not all, vendors accept checks, EBT or debit cards.

Gift certificates are available for purchase in $5 increments either at the Winter Market, or at any branch of Premier Bank.

Recycling
We offer a market recycling program where we redistribute glass jars, plastic clam shells, egg cartons, and plastic bags for re-use at the market!

Why should I buy local?

How do I become a vendor at the Market?
You can download a vendor application here. Please contact our Vendor Coordinator, Paula Connors, at market first to ask whether we still have tables available for the upcoming week.

Why should I attend the Winter Farmer’s Market?
Farmers’ Markets have a social aspect you don’t get at the grocery store.  Enjoy coffee and pastries or waffles with neighbors, get to know your farmers face-to-face, support our local economy, and buy food hasn’t traveled as far…all in one place!

Who runs the market?
A dedicated group of volunteers runs the Dubuque Winter Farmers’ Market.  Our fiscal agent is the Four Mounds Foundation.

How is it funded?
Dubuque Winter Farmers’ Market is funded solely on vendor table fees. Thank you to our sponsors, The City of Dubuque, Sustainable Dubuque, and the Roshek Building. Four Mounds Foundation provides program and administrative support. Premier Bank donates our printing costs and Premier joins Theisens Home Farm Auto supporting our Vendor Grant Program.
